The Varsity Boys Hockey team shutout the Menomonie Mustangs 7-0 on Tuesday, Nov.23 at the Superior Ice Arena. The team earned it’s first win of the season, led by Senior Andrew Rude who scored two goals. Goalie Trevor Soderlund accumulated eight saves which shutdown the Mustangs offensive abilities on the ice. The Spartans will look to advance to 2-0 when their next regular season matchup occurs on Tuesday, December 7 at the Superior Ice Arena against the Marshall Hilltoppers at 7pm.

Girls Recap

The Varsity Girls Hockey Team lost 4-1 to Chippewa Falls/Menomonie Sabers on Tuesday Nov. 23 at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena. The only goal that occurred for Superior was scored by Autumn Cooper. With the lost it moves the Spartans to 1-1 on the season. The next matchup will be versus Two Harbors at Rukavania Arena at 7pm in Silver Bay, Minnesota.
