On Dec. 2, 2023, girls basketball had a dominant win in their home opener taking down the Fridley Tigers 81-62. Senior guard Eva Peterson had a 30 point masterclass, as senior forward Kloe Zentkowski poured in 17 points of her own.
“I’m really excited about the team this year, we have a lot of good pieces that work really well together. Every player, no matter their role, comes to every game and practices ready to compete! It’s been fun so far, and I am ready to see how far this team can go,” Peterson said.
With the win on Saturday, that moves the Spartans to a 1-1 overall record on the season. You can see the girls play next at home on Dec. 14, 2023 when they take on the Rockford Rockets.
