The movie Pretty Woman, directed by Garry Marshall, is a romantic comedy about an unlikely relationship between a wealthy businessman and a woman who works as a prostitute. 

The main characters are Vivian, played by Julia Roberts, and Edward, played by Richard Gere. At first, their relationship seems like just a business arrangement, but as the movie goes on, they start to actually care about each other.

One thing that really stood out to me was how Vivian changes throughout the movie. In  the beginning, she is just trying to get by, but over time she becomes more confident and realizes she deserves better. 

A good example of this is when she says, “I want more. I want the fairy tale.” That quote shows how she starts to believe in herself and not settle for less anymore.

The movie also mixes humor and romance really well. There are a lot of funny moments, like when Vivian goes shopping on Rodeo Drive and surprises the salespeople who judged her earlier. 

One of the most famous lines is when Edward says, “I’m a very wealthy man,” and Vivian responds in a playful way, showing their chemistry and how different their worlds are.

Another important part of the movie is the theme of not judging people based on appearances or status. Vivian gets treated badly because of how she looks or what people think she does, but she proves that she is kind and smart. Edward also changes, learning to be less cold and more caring. By the end, their relationship feels more real and meaningful instead of just a “deal.”

Overall, I think Pretty Woman is a really enjoyable movie because it has a good mix of romance, comedy, and a meaningful message. The acting by Julia Roberts and Richard Gere makes the story believable, and their chemistry keeps the movie interesting. Even though it’s kind of unrealistic at times, it’s still a fun movie that shows how people can change and find love in unexpected ways.
