Seniors Veronica Acruero and Aiden Parks are running for more on May 14th, 2026. The pair will host the first ever Race to Remember track meet which will take place at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.
Co-founder of the event Veronica Acruero says the reason for the event hits close to home.
“I got inspired to do this fundraiser because Aiden and I both know individuals who have been affected in our families,” Acruero said.
Before the event, T-shirts were able to be purchased online but for those who missed out, they will be for sale at the event as well.
The event will have t-shirt sales, raffle baskets from local businesses, and information from the Alzheimer’s association. There will also be fun and unique events and relays which are not done at normal meets taking place.
The primary goal of the event being to raise money for the Alzheimer Association. All money raised will stay within our local community being donated to the Alzheimer Association located in Duluth, Minnesota.
Although there isn’t a cure for Alzheimer’s currently, the Alzheimer’s Association works to support those affected by the devastating disease and their families.
Help support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission at a Race to Remember on May 14 at 5:00p.m. at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.
