On Dec. 12, the boys’ Superior Spartans hockey team defeated the Cloquet-Esko-Carlson team by a score of 5-2. Senior Max Plunkett kicked of the goal-filled night with a goal early in the first period. Senior Luke Drougas finished off the night with a 3rd period goal, but not before Sophomore Gunnar Hansen scored twice and also with a late second period goal by Junior Cayden Laurvick. The Spartans next face North Shore at Wessman Arena at 7:00 on Thursday, Dec. 14.
