The Spartans took on the Lumberjacks of Cloquet on April 29. The Spartans went down in the second inning 4-0 after multiple consecutive hits. In the bottom of the second, the Spartans went on a two out rally after a single from Hally Miner, a triple from Tenley Lawton and a single from Halle Visger scoring two runs in the process. The Lumberjacks would score three more runs by the fifth inning. However, the Spartans would not back down as they would tally a few runs off of a hit from senior Daisy Martinez. The Spartans would end up falling short in a 8-5 loss. The Spartans are back in action tonight, April 30, against Duluth-Marshall.
