The Superior girls basketball team beats Hermantown in home opener game.

The home opener for the SHS girls basketball team was Dec 4 with the Spartans taking the win over Hermantown 48-37. This was after last year’s loss to Hermantown by a large margin of 54-20.  This game’s top scorers junior Niya Wilson and senior Chloe Kintop racked up 32 of the team’s 48 points.

“I think we have a lot more motivation this year,” Wilson said.

Wilson and her teammates were proud to make their first home game a win, starting off the season positively. Wilson plans on keeping this positivity in mind while looking towards the next game, which will also take place in the high school gym on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:15 against Esko in a non-conference game.
