Tony Parks is a custodian at our school, but above that, he is an influence and inspiration to the students around him.
Though he is not the loudest person in the room, Parks is one of the kindest. His quiet determination and perseverance is shown loudly around the school, from the clean cafeteria, to the spotless hallways and PAC.
Parks does not only show student support within the school but at outside sporting events as well.
Parks can frequently be seen at Wessman Arena for high school hockey games for the boys team to show support. Another way he spends his leisure time is at the race track as a sponsor for student racers.

Sophomore Abby Baum participates in youth racing.
“You can find Tony at Gondik Law Speedway on Friday nights. Tony is very dedicated to racing and shares his passion of racing with students and all around supports students that are involved in racing,” said Baum.
Parks hopes to do a good job and for students to look up to him for that purpose. His consistently positive attitude comes from his roots.
“My mom raised me right, just stay happy,” Parks said.
His response, though simple, can be reflective of his regular behavior. He’s kind without being flashy. He’s polite to all and is someone who sees the good in situations rather than the ugly.
All students can take inspiration from Parks, as it is important to realize that things don’t always need to be so serious. Sometimes, it is better to “just stay happy.”
