Girls hockey dismantled the Northern Pine Eagles on Feb. 20, 2024 at the Superior Ice Arena, in the Section Semi-finals, winning 10-2.
The Spartans started off hot, scoring 4 goals in the first period and then continuing a commanding lead throughout the whole game. Senior forward Autumn Cooper managed to score two goals, and two of her teammates, Junior Makaela Reinke and Sophomore Addy Benson, followed the trend scoring two of their own. The girls never took their foot off the gas scoring 6 goals in the second, ultimately sending the Eagles home with a heartbreaking loss.
The girls play Central Wisconsin Storm on Feb. 23, 2024 at the Mosinee Ice Arena. If the girls win this game on Friday, they will punch their ticket to the WIAA State Tournament in Middelton, for the state title.
