Spartans in Keystone participated in mock interviews that took place on Feb. 26.
Freshman started preparing for these interviews Feb. 23, they conducted their own practice interviews with classmates, they also made resumes with past and current experiences to bring to these interviews.
Freshman Aeron Weber said he felt that the preparation for the interviews helped him prepare in lots of ways like knowing what to say, maintaining eye contact, and even good posture. He also said these interviews are helping him prepare for the real world by having to answer questions you don’t always have answers.
Weber said he was 100 percent confident going into interviews.

“This interview did a good job at preparing me for the future,” said freshman Imani Simiyu.
Simiyu also felt that the in class preparation they had done did a good job at making her feel ready. Simiyu said that going into the interview she was nervous, but quickly bounced back and gained confidence from the preparation she had done with Keystone teacher Bobbijean Gidley.
After the interview, Simiyu became excited for future employment and interviews because she knows she will succeed. She encourages others to have confidence in themselves.
