From pajamas to holiday characters, students around the school are dressed up to celebrate the last student council event before break: Frost Fest
Frost Fest is brand new this year, presented by student council to help students celebrate the holiday season, spread joy, and bring up the energy during the last week before break.
“Something that I’m most excited for is the holiday assembly, assemblies are my favorite and this year we’re trying to implement some new games and just seeing how those will play out,” Sierrah Markon, a junior on student council, said.
The festivities began earlier in the month, when student council decorated the school following Thanksgiving break.

“We came here early on a Saturday morning and we stayed for a couple hours,” Markon shared.
Frost Fest consisted of 5 dress up days preceding break. Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was ugly sweater day, Wednesday was ski day, Thursday was white out, and Friday was character day and the assembly. Seniors dressed as Santa, juniors as the Grinch, sophomores as reindeer, freshman as elves, and staff as snowmen.
The Frost Fest assembly contained a plethora of games competed between grades that students could sign up to participate in. It kicked off with the “Holiday Hat Snatch,” followed by a “Gift Wrapping Competition,” a “Candy Cane Hunt,” and a “Present Tour Relay.”
It also had a teacher versus student volleyball game, won by the “Notorious D.I.G.,” the winning team of Pledgemaker’s blacklight volleyball competition.
“It’s a fun way to get the staff involved in the assemblies so it’s not just directed at students,” Rylie Tepsa, a senior on student council said.
