The Spartan twirlers ended their season on Oct. 10. They performed during halftime at the final home football game, creating a memorable performance with the band.
The Spartan Twirlers stepped onto the field at halftime on Oct. 10, and performed two new routines. The first song the twirlers performed was “Americano” by Lady Gaga, which then mixed into “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley. The remix of the two songs was played by the marching band.
“Americano was fun for us, we did a bunch of new choreography we’ve never done before,” Junior Sierrah Markon said.
The halftime performance kept viewers entertained as the Spartan twirlers performed new skills, twirled fire, and were recognized with band members for senior night.
The fire twirlers made their entrance as the band performed their second song of the night “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars. The song was selected by senior band members, as they got to pick their own song to perform for senior night.
The team felt very prepared for their performance, and was pleased with how they did. The team had been “working extra hard on making and cleaning up the routines in order to prepare for the game.” said Freshman Addison Beck.
“Since it was our second game it definitely went way better than it did last time, we just need to continue to drill things,” Markon said.

After finishing the season, many members of the team expressed that they wish they were able to perform at more games. However, the Spartan twirlers are not completely done with performances this school year.
“Our off season picks up again right before assemblies, and we will start getting together again one or two weeks before assemblies,” Markon said.
The Spartan Twirlers are now done performing at sports games, but they will continue to practice together and perform at assemblies throughout the school year, where students and staff will be able to watch the team.
