Construction started at the Superior High School in late April 2016. It has since created noise, movement, and visual distractions.

“The construction has loud, loud bangs,” librarian Jodie Wright said.

Wright also said that the loud noises are a distraction but it doesn’t affect the librarians’ work that needs to be done.

Wright states that the number of students willing to work in the library has stayed the same.

Junior Laura McDonald has been affected by the construction in her orchestra class. The class was relocated to the cafeteria after construction on the PAC begun.

McDonald said that she believes the construction can be distracting at times but she can still get her work done.

“During a quiz last year, students were semi-distracted because of the loud noises going on outside,” Holden-Kaufman said.

The construction of the school is projected to be finished in 2019.
