Dear Students of SHS, On 9/27, Mark Stossel came to our school to talk about the effects and issues of phone use I am surprisingly disappointed with how we acted at the assembly on 9/27. Audience etiquette is something that was obviously not on our minds. I personally believe that we can be better if we learn how to properly act as an audience. Poor audience etiquette like we performed can have a negative impact in any acting/presenting space. The effect created by our bad audience etiquette caused Mark to end his presentation early. He felt like he was being ignored and not seen by us. If we went to a theater and acted like we did at that assembly, we would be immediately kicked out, maybe even banned from that theater. I do hope that in the future, we will all learn proper audience etiquette and use it in our daily lives.
