The girls’ soccer team went head to head against Chippewa Falls May 25 at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex in the first round of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association playoffs. The girls pulled out a 4-1 win, scoring within the first five minutes of game time. Senior Amelia Evavold had two goals for the Spartans and senior Erin Walpole and junior Ailey Rude also recorded goals. A Chippewa Falls player put a goal into their own net, but credit for the score was given to Evavold. The Spartans will take on Kimberly at 5 p.m. tonight in Wausau in a WIAA Regional Semifinal game.
