Lars Root and Mady Stariha won Homecoming royalty during our High School assembly in the gym on October 5th . The two lovebirds have been together for around two months. Stariha thought it’d be a great idea if the two ran for Homecoming royalty considering it’s their last year being in high school.

They put up three posters telling the students to vote for them. One poster said,  “Oh snap, vote for Mady and Lars” There wasn’t much competition because there was only one other person running for Homecoming king. So it was pretty much a breeze from the start.

“It was honestly kinda nerve racking I usually don’t put myself out there like that” Mady said. 

She decided to put herself out there because it’s her high school experience and this is something she’ll cherish for the rest of her life.

Everyone should try out new things, each year is different. At this moment all of the Superior High School students are making memories. Some of the best memories come from a high school experience
