Homecoming assembly brings back, creates memories for students

As the students flooded into the gymnasium at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, excited faces filled the gym for the start of the 2018 homecoming assembly.

Roaring crowds of students cheered for the grades during the familiar food eating contests; relay teams raced each other; and the students enjoyed one of the most exciting events of the year that recalled the old school.

As the cheer team, dance team and the twirling team performed it looked like years past, but it also gave students new to the school memories they can remember for years to come.

The seniors dominated the food eating contest, beating the previous year’s victor, math teacher Jake Smith. The event was capped off with awarding homecoming royalty to seniors Madysen Stariha and Lars Root.
