As the short week concluded, and Thanksgiving break became closer, on Tuesday Nov. 21, Student Council hosted a pie eating contest during Lunch A and B.

The contestants consisted of Senior Gunnar Gronski, Senior Michael LaJoie, Sophomore Jarrett Gronski, Junior Autumn Siers, Sophomore Wyatt Reed and Sophomore Kate Andrs.

LaJoie ended up winning the contest by eating a whole pumpkin pie faster than the competition.

“It was a lot harder than I thought to eat a whole pie under pressure,” LaJoie said. “But the hype of the students around made it easier.”

The event was done to hopefully increase school spirit for the upcoming holiday season.
