Middle schoolers are now able to come to morning workout on Monday and Thursday mornings from 6:30 to 7:15 in the main gym at Superior High School. The morning workouts are designed to help develop students into better athletes. When athletes are there, they will run and jump to build strength in those areas to help in any sport that they might play.
Football coach and gym teacher Rob Scott hopes to give more students an opportunity to get better in their sports. So far, forty three middle schooler students have signed up. Arrangements have even been made to bus students back to the middle school after the workouts.
“Middle school years are a very important time to build an athletic base. It is the norm across the big rivers conference to have year round middle school and highschool development training,” Scott explained.
Middle schoolers have had a positive experience working with Scott.
“I enjoy going to morning workouts because I know I will get better at my sports”, said eighth grader Kaden Sloan.
