Ever since junior Landen Muellner got his driver’s license, he has driven his 1980 GMC k25. The distinct green color gives the truck the nickname “Shrek.”
“Last year my grandpa and I went and bought it for $5,000. If I could change anything about the truck, I would fix the rotted out box and probably paint it a two toned cream to go with the green,” Muellner said.
Muellner has a passion for trucks and maintaining older vehicles like the one he has.
“My favorite part about the truck is that it is a manual because that makes it more fun to drive,” Muellner said.
Not many highschoolers can drive manual vehicles. Although his truck is unique, he likes a wide variety of trucks.
“My dream truck would be a 2015 duramax, because I like diesels,” Muellner said.
Muellner will continue to make improvements and drive around in the iconic green vehicle.
