Senior Eva Peterson has been playing Playmakers basketball since she was in sixth grade. Playmakers created a girls organization starting in 2014, teaching young basketball players teamwork, responsibility, commitment, communication and dedication.
“Being a part of the Playmakers basketball organization made me become better as an athlete and as a person,” Peterson said.
Peterson has stayed dedicated to her journey through Playmakers, as she was able to achieve scholarships to play at the collegiate level. Peterson will be attending Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa starting in the fall of 2024. She is where she is today because of how hardworking and motivated she is.
She was rewarded with the opportunity to coach a younger youth team to not only teach them, but also to watch them grow. She loves being able to coach because she wants to influence them to continue to play and to enjoy playing as they grow up just like she did.
“I am very proud to know I am a coach for a younger Playmakers team,” Peterson said.
Peterson wants to influence the younger generation of girls to live out their dream of playing basketball, and to see them be successful and happy while doing so.
