Due to the recent construction, the music department has been practicing in temporary places. The main area is the new wrestling room, which is shared between band, orchestra and choir. Although, this isn’t the only place where practice happens. Sometimes choir practices in the link and orchestra in the cafeteria.

According to senior band member Mary Jillson, it “smells like an attic, and it’s hot in there.” However, she is excited about the new band room.

“Oh heck yeah! It’s gonna be great,” Jillson said.

The new music rooms are expected to be finished after Jan. 1. They will have more storage space, which is needed by the band students, who are now storing their instruments along the sides of the wrestling room. The new music department is offering a promising future for the students.
