Junior Paolo Pagnucci is a varsity athlete for boys soccer, swim, and tennis. Pagnucci is not only exceptionally athletic but leads two teams as a captain: soccer and swim. Paganucci doesn’t just lead with sociability, but with merit, experience, and athleticism.
Pagnucci has been playing soccer since he was five years old and tennis since his sophomore year. During the off seasons, Pagnucci conditions not just by working out for endurance, but by playing for multiple soccer teams. Over the past two summers, he swam over 500 miles and played tennis with his friends to stay in shape.
“I try to train daily for swimming with lifting or swimming alternating by day while soccer and tennis come as sort of background ideas with prices or get together with friends. I’d like to play soccer in college but also in swimming, aiming to try and break as many of our highschool’s team records as possible.” Pagnucci said.
Pagnucci is also known for hosting team bonding events in his soccer season with the preseason banquet, post season banquet.
Pagnucci was recently announced as the next captain for soccer and the first goalie captain by head coach Otto Bertie at the end of the year soccer banquet.
“I’d like to be perceived as someone who people can trust talking to as well as someone worth looking up to, I’d like to lead my teammates in a way were they all feel important and like they belong within our team while also creating competition within our team so that people can make personal goals of beating others allowing for improvement based on personal wants,” Pagnucci expressed.
Pagnucci is a dedicated athlete and a widely known example of athletics and leadership. He is an essential part to three teams, as well as a teacher and a friend to his teammates.
