This winter, junior Micky Little performed “I’m Just Ken” at the talent show as a fantasy football punishment. Though this can be intimidating and embarrassing for most teenagers, Little turned it into an enjoyable and fun experience for himself by choreographing a dance and even bleaching his brunette hair. This made him stand out to me because of how outgoing and carefree of others’ opinions he is.
At the start of the track season, before captains were announced, Little had already stood out to me by showing his leadership skills. He not only makes being a captain enjoyable for himself by being silly, but he makes it enjoyable for his fellow teammates as well.
“I’ll be serious when I need to be, but I usually like to live very calm and relaxed,” Little said. “I don’t like to have a lot of burdens on me, I like to ride that fine line.”
Though Little likes to live very untroubled about things that would worry others, he still deals with pressure as any other athlete would. He handles it in a calmer manner that benefits him to where he can learn to meet his goals.
“I try to perform my very best, I put my standards for myself very high to a place where I know I can’t get to but I always try my best,” Little said.
Little’s standards push him towards reaching his goals, and that is very inspiring to me because he does not let the stress get to his head while doing it.
