After the girls hockey team made it to the state championship game on Mar. 4 they took a tough loss to De Pere, losing with a final score of 0-3. This heavy loss left the hockey team and their fans in shock. The girls went down in the tournament with a final record of 20-5. Sophomore Bella Thompson, starting forward, had a few words to say about the last game of the season.

“We played our hardest, we just weren’t able to find the back of the net. Everyone played good, and we were able to have a good last game of the season,” Thompson said.

The team had a great outcome ending the season with their coach Doug Trentor getting the Coach of the Year award. Also with only 4 seniors leaving the hockey team the girls are hoping that they will be able to go all the way next year as well. You can expect to see the girls back in action next season for another incredible year.
