Friday afternoon, the 12-seed Oregon Ducks knocked out the five-seed Wisconsin Badgers 72-54 on the second day of March Madness. Payton Pritchard led the Ducks with 19 points, followed by Louis King who had 17 and Paul White, who had 14. Badgers were led in scoring by Khalil Iverson and Ethan Happ, who had 12 points each, Nathan Reuvers had 9 and D’Mitrik Trice had 8.

In a poll posted on The Spartan Spin website, 54 people picked the Badgers to win, while only 13 thought the Ducks would prevail. Another 23 people responded that they would not be watching the game. Looks like 13 poll responders got it right, leaving the majority a little disappointed.

The Spartan Spin staff, in a contest where every member submitted a bracket with their picks to every game, voted 24-1 in favor of Wisconsin.

In the NCAA Bracket Challenge, 0.002% of brackets remain perfect out of the several million that were submitted.

Yesterday, the game featured in the The Spartan Spin Poll ended with 4-seed Florida State Seminoles laying waste to the 12-seed Murray State Racers 90-62 in the second round of the NCAA.

Be sure to check out our newest poll to vote on who you think will win between the Oregon Ducks and the UC Irvine Anteaters at 8:40 p.m. tonight.
