Recently I went and saw the latest spider-man movie, Into the Spider-Verse. One of the best movies I’ve seen this year. The plot was really good and the art style was phenomenal. The art style was animated, but had a sort of comic book look to it. My favorite part about the movie was the animation style. No other movies have done this type of style, and it really has a unique look to it, which i absolutely love.

Into the Spider-Verse tells the story of Miles Morales, a 16 year old teenager from Brooklyn, New York who admires Spider-Man. He sees him as an idol, but his parents don’t think the same thing. They see Spider-Man as a menace, and think that he should hang up the mask. This complicates things when Miles is bitten by a radioactive spider and becomes the second spiderman. Peter B. Parker is later killed in the movie, and so Miles has to step up to be the new Spider-Man. But he isn’t the only one. Five more “Spider-Men” are sent to Miles’ reality, and they have to work together to get back to their homes.

On Dec. 14, the latest spiderman movie, Into the Spiderverse, dropped into theaters. On that day, theaters were filled with marvel fans that had been anticipating this movie ever since it was announced in 2017. Fans were infuriated when they found out that it was pushed past it’s original release date of July 20 2018.

The fact that there are a total of 6 spider-men in the same reality made people want to see the movie. Into the Spider-Verse scored a whopping 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. I really recommend going to see this movie, even if you haven’t seen all the spider-man movies.
