The girls’ hockey game at Wessman Arena on Dec. 11 did not go the way the Spartans had planned, as Superior ended up dropping the game 8-0 to Duluth Marshall. The game was played at Wessman Arena, despite the Superior girls normally playing their home games at the Superior Ice Arena.

Superior would end up losing their goaltender, sophomore Katrina Casper, to a leg injury during the second period, which caused sophomore Presley Baron to take over in the net.  Marshall outshot the Spartans 34-9.
