On Tuesday, Sept. 5th, Senior Maverick Peterson made a record breaking goal at a home soccer game. He set the record of 5 goals in a game. Beating the previous record of 4 goals in a game, this accomplishment was formerly held by Jarrett Kallinen and Blake Hanson.

“I just went for it and did it. Everyone on my team was really excited because they were trying to set me up.” Peterson said.

Peterson’s team helped him achieve his goal of breaking the record. Congratulating him and cheering him on after the game.

Peterson has been playing soccer consistently since he was six years old. Soccer has been the only sport he’s ever been involved with in all his school years. This record could stick with him for the rest of his life.
