On Friday the 14th the Superior Spartans facing off against the Hudson Raiders. Hudson is ranked number 7 in the state as of right now.

At the beginning of the second quarter, our quarterback Jarrett Gronski made a huge play by rushing into the end zone for a touchdown. Shortly after Hudson fired back with a touchdown on their end.

Shortly after, they went for a two-point conversion which gave them the lead. Sam Gidley took a pretty nasty hit leaving the crowd in shock. Coach Bob D stormed the field seconds later leading into a flag.

“He felt that was an illegal hit,” Gidley said.

Last year a player did the same type of hit on the Spartans end. He got thrown out the game and was suspended for the next half. The Spartans fall short at the end losing 16 to 7.
