Junior Evie Jenkins finished her last meet of the girls golf season on Sept. 24 at the Hidden Greens course in Solon Springs during the Heart O’ North Conference meet, scoring 113.
On Sept. 22, Jenkins also competed in Ladysmith for the Heart O’North Conference, scoring a 59.
Jenkins has been golfing for five years now, but she claims to have first found her love for golf by playing with her dad.
“I went with my dad one day to the range just for fun, and I’ve loved it ever since,” Jenkins said.
Jenkins has many things to be proud of this season. Her hard work paid off and she reached a new personal record of 100 at Nemadji Golf Course on Aug. 19, 2025.

Not only is Jenkins a key player on the girls golf team, she’s also a great team leader. Jenkin’s teammates describe her as hardworking and welcoming.
“Evie always puts in the work, and has a strong passion for golf,” teammate Breanna Myer said.
Countless teammates look up to the way Jenkins works to get better and better everyday.
“Evie is one of the hardest working people I know, and it really paid off,” teammate Maggie Nelson said.
As Jenkins gears up for the off season, she hopes to continue shooting at the green and range and to work on perfecting her technique.
