
On Oct. 10, the varsity football team held their annual Tackle Cancer Football game. The Spartans lost to Rice Lake 48-42 at their final home game of the season. Senior Liam Flores scored a total of two touchdowns. Sophomores Trip Row and Thomas Anderson also each scored a touchdown.
This year Kaden Covill, Zander McDonald, and Taynum Clark took on the Tackle Cancer event as their Senior Project. They also raised a total of $450 for their fundraiser, with their Dairy Queen Night on Oct. 8.

“Well I think the kids fought extremely hard…,” said head coach Rob Scott. “We came up short in some key situations but we kept at it and I’m extremely proud of them.”
The Spartans will head to New Richmond for their final game of the season on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
