Inspiring, compassionate, dedicated, relatable, are all things that describe girls soccer coach Maddie Haas.
Haas has been coaching superior highschool girls soccer team for the last three years, along with her teacher career where she taught at the middle school and now at the highschool for her 2nd year.
Haas has been an impactful coach because throughout my soccer career I have had multiple injuries and she has helped me every time with my recovery to get me back on track.
“I love helping students and athletes be better versions of themself and prepare them for their future outside of school. Giving them those life skills that they need. It’s still so fun and has a big purpose.” Haas said.

Not only has she impacted me but others too, including Senior Mariah Miller. Haas has been Miller’s coach since her sophomore year and also was Miller’s student teacher her sophomore year.
“Throughout the three years she has supported me with soccer but also leadership and life skills, she’s inspired me to keep going and has helped me through tough times. She is a very friendly person and is someone you want to be around. “ Miller said.
Miller was the goalie for Haas’s team for three years and throughout those years Haas has uplifted the whole team a lot especially Miller. She would get down on herself, and Haas always assured her that it’s okay to make mistakes and you just gotta keep going, this relates to more than just soccer. It taught Miller not only great soccer skills but great skills for real life.
During the three years Haas has been coaching she has been very inspiring and very supportive to her students and players. No matter how close you are with Coach Haas she will always be there if you need inspiration, advice, or just someone to listen.
