The Varsity boys basketball team kicked off their season with a Thanksgiving tournament on Nov. 29 and 30 at Eau Claire North High School. The Spartans played in two games, one on each day.
The Spartans lost to DC Everest 62-56 and to Wausau East 59-47. Junior Calvin Anderson was the top performer with a statline of 29 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals against DC Everest. As well as 17 points, seven rebounds, and three steals against Wausau East.
After their three game road stretch, the Spartans will now play their first home game on Dec. 13 against the Esko Eskomos with hopes of showing out in front of the home crowd.
