Sisters Lily Clark and Greta Clark will be headed to the 54th WIAA Girls Individual Tennis Tournament in Madison. To celebrate this accomplishment, activities director Ella Olson came up with a new tradition where all students and staff line the hallway while the state qualifiers walk the halls with the band and their teammates. 

The purpose of this tradition is to get the whole school together and involved in celebrating the accomplishment. In the past, state send offs occurred before school with lower attendance. 

“We want to show that we’re proud of the people going to state,” Olson said. “If you make it to state, we are going to celebrate you and we want to make sure that everyone’s a part of it.” 

She believes that if this is a success, she will want to make it a tradition for others headed to state no matter what it is they’re going for.

“I think that this year our school spirit has been great and so I’m hoping this is another thing that pumps people up,” said Olson.
