Gronski makes touchdowns happen against Chippewa Falls

Spartans were coming off of a two game loss streak this past Friday when they defeated Chippewa Falls 26-7.

“We had a really good week of practice and we are ready for this game,” Junior quarterback Jarrett Gronski stated prior to the game against Chippewa Falls.

Within two minutes of the game, Brady Herbst had an interception. However, the Spartans could not capitalize on Brady’s interception. It was 0-0 at half time.

During the third period, Gronski ran the ball and a flag was thrown against Chippewa for a face mask call, bringing Superior to the two-yard line. Gronski finished the play for the first touchdown of the game.

After that, Superior was getting ready to attempt the field goal, but a flag was thrown against them for having too many players on the field. Ultimately, the field goal was not completed. It was 6-0, Spartans, after 3rd period.

With only 11:19 left of the fourth period, Chippewa scored a touchdown and followed it with a field goal.

At 7:25, Gronski ran the ball for 55 yards.6:32; Gronski scores; went for the two point but no good, 7-12.

At 5:15 Gronski catches a 27 yard interception returns to the 5 yard line, 4:58, Second and goal, 4:36 Gronski scores, Nathan Peterson, kicker completes the play with the field goal; 7-19.

At 1:32, Gronski scores and Peterson completes, 7-26.

Gronski went above and beyond to help the team defeat Chippewa Falls.
