Principal Rick Flaherty places a sign in a Superior yard May, 6. The administration and teachers placed yard signs in seniors yards to show their appreciation and to try to help them celebrate while actual contact or gathering has been suspended for the remainder of the school year.

Organized by Principal Rick Flaherty, a group of teachers and administrators met at 4 p.m. on May 6 to collect and then distribute yard signs for this year’s graduating seniors. The staff groups were given assignments for delivery based on sections of town where students went to elementary schools.

The staff members then had May 6 and 7 to go out to the houses and place the yard signs in their yards. After two days, they delivered 270 signs.

There have been lots of positive messages shared from parents, community members, students, and staff,” Flaherty said.

Flaherty and the staff wanted to let the seniors know just how much the school and community  appreciates their students’ efforts through this tough time.
