Senior Devin Lowney plans to take his art career to the next level. Throughout his early childhood, Lowney started out drawing stick figures, but now can be found drawing large pieces of artwork.

“I would love to further my art abilities and continue this as a career,” Lowney said.

Ever since Lowney was a child, he has been passionate about art. Everything art related, he could not keep his hands off. His interest has grown over the years, and he has practiced many different art forms. Lowney’s favorite style of art is “American Traditional,” which is what he draws most often.

“It’s a tattoo kind of style. It’s bold lines and a lot of color,” Lowney said.

Creating art is Lowney’s form of relief, so he spends most of his time in his room drawing, painting, or even looking at ideas for his first tattoo.

“Art helps me get away from everything. It really helps me relax,” Lowney said.

Lowney wants to continue his career in a different form of art. Lowney’s main goal is to someday open up his own tattoo shop Minneapolis, Minnesota. He wants to be away from home, but not too far away.

“My main goal is to open up my own tattoo shop. That would be amazing,” Lowney said. “Opening my own tattoo shop is not a dream, but a reality.”
